ブリスベン訪問

ブーンドル湿地等への訪問は、現地の方のご厚意により鳥や他の動植物、自然環境についての理解を深めることができる最高の機会となっている一方、現地にて施設の運営や活動内容について情報交換を行うことは新たな視点に出会う等互いの活動の手助けになっています。その結果ブリスベンと習志野の間では強固な交流チャネルが機能しています。

Brisbane Visit
Visit to Boondall Wetlands and other places in Brisbane, has been a great opportunity for Narashino visitors to better understand birds, animals, plants, and environment, with a warm reception by Brisbane people. Learning about operation and activities of nature education centres in Brisbane through exchange helps Narashino visitors find a new point of view in their own activities. In turn, Narashino visitors are providing Brisbane people with updates on activities in Narashino. Through these activities, a solid exchange channel between Brisbane and Narashino has been built and functioning.

ここではブリスベンを訪問したボランティアが現地で参加した行事内容を紹介しています。Y&Bメンバーはボランティアの一員として訪問に参加したほか、これら訪問に先立ち、スケジュールや参加行事内容の調整・連絡等参加者の訪問の準備の支援を行ってきました。
訪問は4日間前後で干潟や観察施設等を訪問します。現地の方とバードウォッチング、環境保全の現況の見学のほか、当方からは谷津干潟のボランティア活動の紹介等を行い、参加者がボランティアとして干潟と関わっていく上での刺激を受ける場となっています。

Listed here are activities in which volunteers from Yatsu participated during their Brisbane visit. Y&B members, as volunteers, visited Brisbane. Y&B assisted making arrangements of visit, including schedules, activities. Visit usually lasts four days and includes visits to wetlands and conservation facility, and bird watching, assisted by volunteers and people in Brisbane. During visits, volunteers also give presentation on their activities in Yatsu. Brisbane visits are good opportunities for volunteers to learn and think what volunteers can do with wetlands going forward.


バードウオッチング

ブリスベンは鳥が豊富で、干潟、海岸、林、森、山、市街地など、いたるところで鳥が見られ、バードウオッチングを楽しめます。

Bird watching
You can enjoy watching many species of birds in a variety of settings, including wetlands, seashore, woods, forests and mountains in Brisbane.

干潟ウオッチング

ブーンドル湿地にあるナッジビーチで干潟に入れます。干潟の感触を確かめ、干潟の生きもの採取や魚獲りなどが出来ます。

Lives at wetlands
You can step into wetlands in Nudgee Beach in Boondall. You can feel wetlands yourself and catch animals and fish.

ボードウオーク

ブーンドル湿地内に木道橋が整備されており、散策コースとして湿地の自然に触れるふれることができます。この上からマングローブや塩生植物を、又、水中の魚やカニを観察できます。

Boardwalks
The Boondall Wetlands offers a variety of walking tracks, including boardwalks over wetlands, where you can see wetland lives, including mangroves, salt plants, crabs and fish in the water.

動植物ウオッチング

公園や林を歩くと、野生のカンガルー、ヘビ、トカゲ、コアラなどが現れます。昆虫類もたくさんいます。ジャカランダはブリスベン市の木ですが、現地の春10月に咲きます。

Animals and plants
Wild animals, including kangaroos, snakes, lizards, and koalas, can be seen in parks and woods. A wide variety of insects can be found, too. Jacaranda, for which Brisbane is famous, blossoms in October, spring in Brisbane.

自然保護団体との交流

クイーンズランド渉禽類研究会（QWSG)の人たちは、いつもバードウオッチングでガイドしてくれます。共同で鳥の調査・研究をしたこともあります。

Exchange with nature conservation groups and organizations
People from Queensland Wader Study Group (QWSG) have been kindly providing Narashino delegates with assistances and guides for birdwatching. A joint study and research on migrating birds with QWSG also took place.

地域住民と交流

日本からの訪問団は小学校を訪れたり、交流パーティに参加したり、又、交流を紹介するパネル展を現地で開いて市民に湿地交流をアッピールしています。
